Pony Club Syllabus

Syllabus

Pony Club Australia has a national syllabus called the Syllabus of Instruction – Proficiency Standards. Riders should be familiar with  this syllabus.

Certificates

There are seven Pony Club Australia Proficiency Certificates members can work through. The certificates are (starting with the lowest level):

  • E
  • D
  • D*
  • C
  • C* or K
  • B
  • A

The E Certificate is optional, but recommended. The D, D*, C and B Certificates are pre-requisites for the following certificates.
The C Certificate is recommended as the baseline for all members and will ensure that the rider has a good foundation of skill, safety and horsemanship.
Riders can progress from C to B via either the C* or the K Certificate.

Talk to the instructors at the club to see whether you should start with E or D or you can check yourself:

Are you ready for your E Proficiency Certificate?
Are you ready for your D Proficiency Certificate?
